Happiness, Jesus and the Kingdom of Love

Kingdom of Love is the kingdom of heaven. When we are in deep love this very earth is the kingdom of heaven. When we are in Love we are happy. Love is not possessing something. It is the freedom of sharing the sweetness of life. It is also sharing the bitterness of Life. When we can share our thoughts, feelings and emotions we are in Love. Jesus said “I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.” -Matthew 16:19 RSV

Love is the key to the kingdom of God. Here, the word Kingdom signifies the inner state of peace love and tranquility. It has nothing to do with the ruling of a King. Here, King is the Love itself. The more we are in Love, the more we are nearer to the Kingdom. Love is the King and our consciousness is the Kingdom.

In the New Testament it is said  “Do penance: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:1-2). Penance is a wholly different thing from gospel. Penance has deeper meanings. It is not just doing prayers and the pleasing the God. God will be pleased only when we are in real Love; Love with everyone without discrimination. Here, the word penance means preparing ourselves for the great Love to encompass everything.  The word penance means changing the heart – transforming the heart for greater Love.  We heard  “Rend your heart and not your garments” (Joel 2:13.).  Inner transformation is more important than the external ritual and prayers. Inner transformations comes when we are in Love. The  abundance of light and grace comes when we are in the path of Love and inner transformation. Our hormones and Divine Love are linked together.  The beauty is that Love is the key, when we are in Love we have all hopes. Only Love can transform us. Here are some great quotes on God and Love:

“God is whispering in your heart, in the whole existence, just tune your ears.” — Sri Amit Ray

“God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.”  ~St. Augustine

“Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet especially your family. Be holy – let us pray.” — Mother Teresa

“When we turn the mind inwards, God manifests as the inner consciousness.” — Sri Ramana Maharshi

Happiness, Christ, Love Energy and Compassion

Oxytocin is the key hormone for love energy. Love helps people to stay together. Love helps people to stay with God. Oxytocin and vasopressin hormone seemed to be more closely linked to long term bonding. When we are in true Love without much possessiveness, happiness radiates. Mind of Jesus Christ was always full of love, compassion and purity.“When God loves any of us, he will withhold nothing from us that is good for us. He does not hold back his own only begotten Son.”, Rom.8:32

The experience of God’s love is a central part of spiritual Life. Divine Love is essentially the refined form of the Love energy. Studies conformed that, when we are in deep love with God, Oxytocin, Dopamine and Serotonin are the key hormones. Dopamine is also the divine gift of life in Divine Love. Researchers also observed that Oxytocin decreases the risk of heart disease. Divine Love decreases the stress hormone Cortisol.

Love to Christ

Left brain and right brain activities varies according to the relax states of Divine Love. Similarly, different brain waves are observed in different stages of Divine Love.

As you increase the intensity of your love with peace and relaxation, the gamma waves in the brain also increases. The gamma brain waves are known as  “feeling of blessings”.  As the gamma waves increases you have the higher capacity to heal others.

Gamma waves can be increased in many ways. In the book Om Chanting and Meditation, Sri Amit Ray discussed Humming type of Om chanting for Gamma wave generation. Bharamori Om chanting is also easy way to generate gamma waves.

Researchers using MRIs to look at the brain activity during deep Divine Love and  found the interplay of hormones and neurotransmitters. Dopamine makes focus on God. It is central to the brain’s reward circuitry. If you are in tension during  prayer, brain activity will be exactly opposite to the relax Divine Love with God.

Serotonin is another hormone associated with Divine Love. This is also known as  “happy feeling,” hormone. Serotonin can also be altered by the amount of time spent in natural sunlight.   Increasing levels of  serotonin may be associated with increased affect, for good as well as for worse.  Anxiety and obsessive thinking that characterizes of low serotonin.  An imbalance in serotonin levels may influence mood in a way that leads to depression. Serotonin is also known to regulate aging, learning and memory.

Love and Compassion are key to happiness. The more you can expand the circle of your love the more you can be happy.  Jesus said “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”  — Matthew 5:43-45.  Here the focus is on  expansion of love; loving, not just your relatives or  friends (that you have to love, right? You must love) but towards every being, in the impossible zones of life. Here is some famous quotes:

“It does not matter how long you are spending on the earth, how much money you have gathered or how much attention you have received. It is the amount of positive vibration you have radiated in life that matters,” ―  Amit Ray

“The success of love is in the loving  – it is not in the result of loving.” – Mother Teresa.

“At the touch of Love everyone becomes a poet.” – Plato

“Where there is love there is life.”  – Mahatma Gandhi

I Love You

Compassion, Buddha, Love Energy and Happiness

Flowers are the best expression of Love energy.  As per the recent neurobiological studies love energy and happiness are linked together. The most important thing in life is generating the love energy and utilizing them in a proper and perfect channels. Oxytocin is the key hormone for love energy. Love helps people to stay together. Even the great people like Buddha use to attract people just by the help of love. He use to radiate love, compassion and purity. In both cases oxytocin plays the same important role. Oxytocin and vasopressin seemed to be more closely linked to long term bonding. However, it is the nature of the mind that is different from the Buddha’s love compared to the common people’s Love. Guilty sense is the biggest enemy of spiritual life. Buddhas mind is always full of love, compassion and purity. Impurity lies in the mind. There is nothing wrong in this beautiful planet, if you have love in the heart and if you are not in the competition.

In a scientific study on the Dharamsala Monks of the Dalai Lama it is observed that they can raise their body temperature by 15 degrees. They practice compassion to activate the main glands to control the body energy.

You can pick a target of your love and intensify your emotions. As you increase the intensity of your love, the gamma waves in the brain also increases.

Your target of love can be anything. The point is that, let your entire being be full with Love. That was also the objectives of the Love to God. Love without any purpose is the key. Love and Compassion are key to happiness. The more you can expand the circle of your love the more you can be happy.

Happiness in Married Life : Romance and Beyond

I am going to tell the secrets of happiness that works for me. Now I understand that happiness in married life is a choice. I would like to share it the way it works for me. For me honeymoon started five years after our marriage. Initially, I had problems with my mother-in-law. Her interference often causes problems for me. My wife is affectionate to me. But it took long time for me to understand her. Our true relationships started, when I was away from her for about six months, to do my office jobs in abroad. Then I started direct communication with her over phone. Daily, all most one hour i used to talk to her.

I started sharing with her the joys hopes and dreams. Gradually I know her attitude and values. I do daily exercises with her unknowingly, that helps me deeper understanding and love.

In summary, I can conclude that happiness in married life depends on three important factors. First, the trust on your partner. From beginning you need to keep your trust, if you can’t keep your trust don’t marry. Second, most important thing is keeping the communication line on. Third is understanding the values and the attitudes.

Happiness in office – Five Secrets

In the office, luckily I worked with a person who is happy with me. I am also happy with the clients for which I am working. But, still I feel there is some worry in my mind about my office work. Few days back I tried my best to discover the reasons for my worry. My findings are as follows:

1. Worrying is my habit. Mind always look something to feel important. I feel if I am not worry about my job, others may think, I am not contributing.

2. I take too less carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates have a tranquilizing effect on the body by stimulating the brain’s production of serotonin. I take too much sugars (candy and other sweets). It get a brief boost in serotonin. But my mood crashes and my craving for sugar become even stronger.

3. I am not exposed to sunlight
Each day I am exposed to artificial light in the office. Serotonin levels are affected by sunlight. During winters I am exposed to less light.

4. My protein intake is high

I also observe that maximum satisfaction comes when I am absorb in my office activities, when I forget myself and lose track of time and stop worrying.

So finally my conclusion for happiness in office are:

1. Take enough carbohydrates.
2. Love your job and try to absorb in it.
3. Take 40gm protein per day.
4. Get exposure to Sunlight
5. Change your habit patterns by meditation.

It worked fantastic for me.

Positive Frame Work of Mind and Happiness

Happiness should be generated from within. Appreciate the gifts of nature: clouds, green trees, and flowers appreciate the life. That is the mantra of happiness.
1. Positive emotions – like joy, interest, pride and gratitude – don’t just feel good in the moment – they also affect our long term well-being. Research shows that experiencing positive emotions in a 3-to-1 ratio to negative ones leads to a tipping point beyond which we naturally become more resilient to adversity and better able to achieve things. The evidence linking an upbeat outlook to increased longevity is actually stronger than the evidence linking obesity to reduced longevity.
2. Trust is a major determinant of happiness in a society. Levels of trust vary widely between countries. The percentage of people who say “Most people can be trusted” is only 30 per cent of people in the U.K. and U.S., compared to 60 per cent some 40 years ago. But in Scandinavia the level is still over 60 per cent, and these are the happiest countries too.
3. The most important external factors affecting individual happiness are human relationships. In every society, family or other close relationships are the most important, followed by relationships at work and the community. The most important internal factor is mental health. For example, if we take 34 year olds, their mental health at age 26 explains four times more of their present happiness than their income does.
4. The subjective levels of happiness which people report are well correlated with objective measures of brain activity. They are well correlated with friends’ reports, with obvious causes (like unemployment) and with subsequent behaviour (like quitting a job or a marriage)
5. Doing good is one of the best ways to feel good. People who care more about others are happier than those who care less about others. When people do good, their brain becomes active in the same reward centre as where they experience other rewards.
6. Empathy is a part of our nature. If a friend suffers an electric shock, it hurts in exactly the same point of the brain as if you yourself suffer an electric shock.
7. Being paid can detract from the pleasure of giving. For example, if people interested in giving blood are divided into two groups, one of which is paid if they give blood and the other is not, more of those who arenotpaid decide to give blood.
8. Studies have shown that giving money away tends to make people happier than spending it on themselves.
9. The proportion of U.S.students who think that it is essential or very important to develop a meaningful philosophy of life has fallen from 65% in the 1960s to 45% today.
10. Surveys of mental health in many countries show no improvement and in some cases worsening. In Britain the proportion of adolescents with emotional or behavioural problems is twice as high as in the 1970s.
11. New psychological therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy can transform lives. Within 4 months a half of people suffering from clinical depression or lifelong anxiety will return to normality.
12. People who take 8 sessions of mindfulness meditation training will on average be 20 percentage points happier one month later than a control group and have better responses in their immune system. Such training can lead to structural brain changes including increased grey-matter density in the hippocampus, known to be important for learning and memory, and in structures associated with self-awareness, compassion and introspection.
13. In an experiment, individuals with a positive outlook were less likely to get flu when exposed to the virus.
14. Our happiness influences the people we know and the people they know. Research shows that the happiness of a close contact increases the chance of being happy by 15%. The happiness of a 2nd-degree contact (e.g. friend’s spouse) increases it by 10% and the happiness of a 3rd-degree contact (e.g. friend of a friend of a friend) by 6%.
15. Most people think that if they become successful, then they’ll be happy. But recent discoveries in psychology and neuroscience show that this formula is backward: happiness fuels success, not the other way around. When we’re positive, our brains are more motivated, engaged, creative, energetic, resilient, and productive.
16. People’s happiness can be permanently altered. Surveys show that for many people long periods of unhappiness are followed by long periods of happiness.
17. Happiness follows a U shape across the lifecycle, on average: we are happier when young and old and least happy in middle age.

Feeling of gratitude, feel gratitude for the life-giving sun, for the oxygen-producing trees, for the gift of sight and the mobility of the body. Gratitude is the first and last step of happiness.

How to Overcome Stress and Anxiety?

Earlier I have discussed the secrets of happiness today I want to discuss the points which are very useful to reduce daily stress strain and anxiety. You may also see the ten secrets of happiness from my personal life. If you follow these points your life will be full of happiness and joy.
1. Laugh. It’s one of the healthiest antidotes to stress. When we laugh, even smile,
blood flow to the brain is increased, endorphins (painkilling hormones that give us a
sense of well being) are released, and levels of stress hormones drop.
2. Get Rid of Anger. It is the single most damaging stress-related personality trait that
precedes a heart attack.
3. Be Decisive. Indecision prevents you from taking action, causing a loss of a sense of
control and thus intensifying stress.
4. Be Assertive. Stand up for your decisions, express your feelings, and disagree with
others when you feel differently, give, as well as accept, compliments.
5. Get Some Sleep. Lack of adequate sleep can make you moody, angry and more
vulnerable to illness and the daily stresses that stalk you.
6. Adapt Your Environment. Color, lighting and noise are all elements that engage and
influence our senses.
7. Encourage Yourself. Negative self-talk is a major stress maker. Those who accept
mishaps as largely routine and normal occurrences in life and who talk to themselves in
positive terms about these events have higher self-esteem and much lower stress
levels.
8. Choose Winners. Seek the company of those who are optimistic and have high selfesteem. They tend to have low stress levels and contribute to lower stress levels to
those around them.
9. Reward Yourself. Those who reward themselves by engaging in something
pleasurable realize a boost in the disease-fighting quality of their immune systems for several days. Always do positive thinking.
10. Delegate. Those who don’t learn to delegate become overloaded with unfinished tasks – making them stressed, less productive and isolated by their excessive
expectations.
11. Don’t Procrastinate . It lessens productivity, not only compounding stress but also
causing the stressful by-products of guilt, anger and low self-esteem.
12. Live by Lists. Having a daily written list of what you expect to do will help you
become more realistic about your schedule and remind you of tasks you do not want to
forget. By listing a task, you also relieve stress by removing the thought from your mind,
which helps to lessen mental overload, a common occurrence in stressed people.
13. Relax. Breathe deeply. Visualize something pleasurable. Meditate. Concentrate on present, tangible situations. Inhale aromatic oils. Listen to soothing music. Om chanting and meditation is a very efficient and easy way to reduce stress.

10 Secrets to Happiness That I learnt

“positive attitude“, “being happy“, “success” and “prosperity”  are the corner stone of happiness. Here are the list, which I think brings happiness.

Enjoy the present moment:

Be thankful for what you have, instead of moaning about what you lack.

Caring and Sharing:

Helping someone by heart gets true joy, and that person will never forget you, and will always be there when the time comes that you’re the one who needs help. Being there when someone needs you gets joy to your heart. Though you can’t essentially help that person directly, the essence that you’re there willing to listen and comfort him/her is really a big help to them.

Body as the temple:
Learn to understand your body. Do yoga daily exercises.  Learn new things ever day.
Connect with people:

Get connection with people through blog, twitter and facebook.
Have definite goals in life:
Have clear cut goal. Minimize wastage of your thinking energy.
Appreciate the beauty of Nature:

Spend some times in garden or in nature.

Science and Secrets of Happiness

I want to be happy and I know everyone wants to be happy. To be a happy person, you don’t need to be a spiritual man. When I write something nice for my blog I am happy. When someone praises me or my writings I am happy. When I see number hits are more in my websites, I am happy. When I see lot of smiles around me, I am happy.

Secrets of Happiness

Happiness

Lord Buddha spent his life to search the ways and means to be happy. I am not sure about his way. But his ways looks to me, too difficult. I am happy when I am with my kids. I love them. In office I am happy with my friends.
I have small rose plants. When I spray some water on them, I am happy. I love myself and my family. I love my family members. I love my neighbors. I love the people who work with me.  I love to take more responsibility. I love to see every one happy.  I love to see you to be happy.

Thanks to my spiritual teacher who taught me how to keep trust on Om, the Universal love energy.

Positive thoughts while walking on the earth.

Walking mediation in ancient art Lord Buddha practiced it. I am deeply inspired by his teachings. Walking on the earth, generating positive thoughts is my goal. Each time I touch the earth I feel I am full with love. I express my love to the grass, to the stones, to the blue sky. Earth is divine for me. Grass is divine for me. Water is divine for me. I learnt from my spiritual teacher to see God in open eyes. For me, I am always playing with God on this very earth. This very earth is heaven for me. God has given me so much. I have fresh air to breath.

Today I was walking on the side of a road, I saw seven trees. I don’t know the name of those trees. it was evening, I can’t see the tree completely. I have a torch on my hand. I don’t want to disturb the trees. Suddenly, while walking a nice smell was flowing in the air. I was refreshed. I was curious to know the tree. I switch on the torch and look for the tree, from where the fragrance was coming. I don’t know the name of the tree. It was a tall tree full with red colour unknown little flowers.

How nice it was to see that the tree is spreading positive fragrance slowly and silently. It is beautifying the world. Hardly, any one knows its presence. Like the tree I also like to spread positive fragrance throughout the world.
